VERDICT SNAPSHOT
Overall, the X1 Pro is not a tactical flashlight in any practical sense, but what it lacks in tactical use, it makes up for in its versatility as an outdoor adventure and general-use flashlight.
The tough aluminum body ensures the X1 Pro can handle the wear and tear of modern-day life, and the dual light source makes it suitable for use both at home and at the campsite to light up whatever sound you hear in the bushes.
With Type-C charging, the Wuben X1 Pro goes from dead to fully charged in just over an hour, and thanks to its high-capacity batteries, it can also serve as an external power source for your other electronic devices.
The X1 Pro has one main button, which uses electronic switching to activate instant turbo, instant strobe, and SOS.
When operating on turbo or high, however, the X1 Pro does get quite hot. Wuben thought of that, though, and included an internal detachable fan and air vents to help cool the X1 Pro down and prevent overheating.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
When I first opened the box and got my hands on the X1 Pro, a few key things came to mind. First was the overall design, which is very sleek and very solid.
The next thing was how big it was; it definitely did not meet the compact design I hold tactical flashlights to. As I played around with its settings and functions, though, it became apparent that it was still a very functional flashlight.
I loved the instant functions: turbo, strobe, and SOS, and I thought the dual light sources were a neat idea. Overall, a great flashlight, just not a tactical one.
The mechanical switch that switches between light options was awesome. As most of you may know, I am a huge fan of mechanical switches over electronic ones due to their ease of use in the field and in high-adrenaline situations.
That being said, I didn’t actually mind the electronic function of the main on/off switch because it gave you access to instant-light options while the flashlight was off.
One of the aspects I dislike most is having to turn a flashlight on to access the instant turbo or strobe; it’s effectively useless at that point, as you give away your position to any would-be assailant.
IN THE TRENCHES
When I first used the X1 Pro, I was quite pleased with how well the dual lights lit an area. The large spill of the flood throws out some solid lumens.
On top of that, you turn the turbo on, and a room or a backyard lights up instantly.
Although I found the X1 Pro too big to carry in your pocket, the belt holster comes in handy, and, if used on a camping or backpacking trip, it would be a solid EDC companion.
It does get surprisingly hot quite quickly, hence the built-in fan to help cool it down. It does have five light settings, though, so I would recommend running it on a lower setting than turbo or high unless you need it.
All in all, though, it performed great on its first time in the trenches, and I was quite pleased with it.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
In the box along with the Wuben X1 Pro, Wuben includes a user manual, extra little screws for the detachable fan plate, a belt holster, and a Type-C charging cable that doubles as a wrist lanyard.

BUILD BREAKDOWN
BODY
The Wuben X1 features a sturdy body made of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum with a hard-anodized finish for excellent durability and scratch resistance.
Its unique rectangular “phone-like” design is machined from a solid block of aluminum, giving it a premium feel while remaining relatively lightweight at 383g with batteries.
The aluminum construction is paired with an IP65 rating, making the flashlight dust- and water-resistant and able to withstand drops up to 1 meter.

DETACHABLE FAN
The dual light sources can get extremely hot, so Wuben has included a quiet detachable fan to aid in cooling and prevent overheating.
It automatically turns on after the flashlight has been operating for a while, and it also has an instant on when you press the on/off switch five times.

RAIL SLOTS
The Wuben X1 Pro features built-in rail slots on the body, allowing easy attachment of accessories such as the optional bike mount or tripod adapter.
These slots are designed for secure, quick mounting and removal, making the flashlight highly versatile for bike use or hands-free setups.
The rail system is sturdy and well-integrated into the aluminum body, supporting the light’s modular design without adding significant bulk.

LANYARD HOLE
The integrated lanyard hole provides a simple but practical way to secure the flashlight during use or transport.
Whether attached to a wrist or clipped to other gear, it adds an extra layer of retention without affecting the X1 Pro’s overall ergonomics or design.

AIR OUTLETS
The Wuben X1 Pro features multiple air intake and exhaust vents that work in conjunction with its built-in active cooling system.
Rather than relying solely on the flashlight body to dissipate heat, the internal fan continuously moves air through these vents to help regulate operating temperatures.
This allows the X1 Pro to sustain higher output levels for longer than many passively cooled flashlights of a similar size. While the vented design is unconventional, it plays a key role in the flashlight’s overall performance.

MODE SELECTOR
The X1 Pro features a dedicated sliding mode selector that lets you instantly switch between spotlight, floodlight, or a combined mode that activates both simultaneously.
This physical switch is intuitive to use and eliminates the need to cycle through multiple brightness modes just to change beam profiles.
It gives users the flexibility to prioritize long-range illumination, wide-area lighting, or a combination of both depending on the situation.
It’s a thoughtful design feature that makes the X1 Pro faster and more practical to operate than many traditional dual-beam flashlights.

MAIN SWITCH
The Wuben X1 Pro’s electronic power switch does much more than simply turn the flashlight on and off. It provides quick access to Turbo, Strobe, SOS, fan control, and electronic lockout mode, all via button combinations.
An integrated LED indicator beneath the switch illuminates blue during normal operation and turns red while the flashlight is charging, providing a quick visual reference for its status.
The result is a well-designed control system that keeps the X1 Pro’s advanced features easily accessible.

BATTERY
The Wuben X1 Pro is powered by built-in dual 9,600 mAh batteries utilizing standard 21700 lithium-ion cells, providing the capacity needed to support its high-output performance and active cooling system.
It supports 30W USB-C fast charging to reduce downtime, while 15W reverse charging lets the flashlight double as a power bank to charge compatible devices in the field.

DUAL LIGHTS
The Wuben X1 Pro features a dual-emitter light design that combines dedicated flood and spotlight LEDs to maximize both area coverage and long-range performance.
Its floodlight uses CREE XHP50.3 LEDs to produce up to 8,650 lumens with a 125° ultra-wide beam, making it ideal for illuminating large work areas or trails.
For greater distance, the spotlight is powered by CREE XHP50.3 HI LEDs, delivering up to 3,650 lumens with a maximum beam throw of 410 meters.
When both lighting systems are used together, the X1 Pro reaches a combined maximum output of 12,300 lumens,

Below, you can see the more focused spotlight beam. It has a decently focused center to the beam, but still has quite a bit of spill.

The floodlight has almost no focused center, which is to be expected, as it’s a wide-beam design intended to light a large area.

With both the spotlight and floodlight on, you get a mix of both.

X1 PRO BELT HOLSTER
The belt holster that comes with the X1 Pro is a very solid addition, making the X1 a much more versatile flashlight by letting you clip it to your belt and carry it hands-free.
It has strong elastic sides that hold the X1 solidly in place, but best of all, it has a rotating belt clip that lets you carry the X1 either horizontally, so it’s not poking you in the side, or vertically, so it is.

MY TAKE
POWER SOURCE
The built-in dual 9,600 mAh batteries in the X1 Pro allow it to be used as an external power pack for your phone or other electronic devices, on top of offering some crazy long usage, which is an excellent feature.
Anytime you go into the wilderness, even though many of us do it to get away from the modern-day busyness of life, it’s still important to be able to have things like your phone charged for safety reasons.
Although I always have an external charger on me when in the field, having a flashlight that can also provide additional charging capability is awesome.

MODE SELECTOR
I have said many times before that I am a fan of mechanical switches on flashlights, as I believe they are far more functional than electronic ones.
There’s no fuss or fooling around with them, and no need to remember precise button combinations to access the flashlight’s features.
The only thing I would have liked to see is a mechanical switch that offers more than just a change in the light source. However, I was quite pleased with the switch and its ease of use.

SIZE
As I said earlier, the X1 Pro is too big for a tactical flashlight. For tactical flashlights, you want small and compact flashlights that fit on your plate carrier.
Although the belt holster for the X1 Pro could compensate for its larger size, still allowing you to carry it, it would still fit far better into the adventurer classification or everyday use around the house.

FAQ’S

It has a unique flat “tube” design measuring approximately 138 mm long × 60 mm wide × 30 mm thick, weighing 383g with batteries.
Many users find it surprisingly comfortable, though it’s on the heavier side for everyday carry. It includes a lanyard (which doubles as a charging cable) and a belt holster, making it very easy to carry.
WHAT ARE THE CHARGING OPTIONS AND ANY COMMON COMPLAINTS?
It supports 30W fast USB-C charging and 15W reverse charging capability.
Common user notes include turbo step-down being quite aggressive, measured output sometimes lower than advertised, and the side switches taking a short learning curve.
WHAT CAN WUBEN X1 PRO ATTACH TO? WHAT MOUNTING OPTIONS DOES IT HAVE?
The Wuben X1 Pro has excellent mounting versatility for a flat EDC light. It includes a mounting plate that on the back of the light.
This allows secure mounting on tripods, magic arms, camera rigs, or other standard photo/video gear.
It is also compatible with the optional Wuben AT2X metal bike mount, turning it into a powerful bicycle or motorcycle light.
FINAL CALL
After spending time with the Wuben X1 Pro, it’s clear that this is a flashlight designed to be the Swiss Army knife of compact flashlights.
Its combination of high output, active cooling, and feature-rich design helps it stand apart from many competing models, though it isn’t without a few drawbacks.
As covered throughout this review, there are aspects of the design that could be improved, but they do little to overshadow the overall performance package.
For users seeking a powerful, innovative flashlight with a unique approach to thermal management, the X1 Pro offers a lot.
Whether it’s the right choice for you will ultimately depend on your priorities, budget, and intended use, but it certainly earns its place as a noteworthy option in the high-performance flashlight market.
