IS THE CVLIFE RIFLE BIPOD WORTH YOUR HARD-EARNED CASH?
Yes, at around $50 taxes in the CVLIFE Rifle bipod is an excellent bipod, and not just an excellent budget bipod.
It is pure and simply a good bipod—well-constructed, good material, with good features and functionality.
OVERALL
All things considered, the CVLIFE Rifle Bipod is an all-around solid bipod.
Extending from approximately 7 inches to 10 inches, with six variable adjustment positions, 360-degree swivel, and a 15-degree tilt left and right, CVLIFE has included nearly everything you can ask for in a bipod and done it at a budget price.
For materials, CVLIFE used stainless steel for locking and moving points to ensure strength and longevity.
For the legs, they used aircraft-grade aluminum, and for the leg extensions, they used a high-strength polymer, and they still kept the weight to under one pound.
Although there are always things that can be changed and made better on a piece of gear, CVLIFE didn’t skimp on their rifle bipod.
Ensuring that even their more budget-friendly bipod was a quality piece of gear that would be a benefit to whoever purchased it.
As you can tell, I’m pretty excited about the CVLIFE rifle bipod, and it’ll make even more sense as it goes head-to-head against a major brand’s budget bipod later on in the article.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
My first impression when I removed the CVLFIE rifle bipod from its box was legitimately “Wow, this is nice”.
The quality of materials, construction, and weight is a massive giveaway to how good or how garbage a piece of gear will be.
Imagine going to a Toys ” R ” Us to pick up a Hot Wheels car, and then heading to a dollar store to grab a toy car.
Right away, you notice the materials, whether they used real steel in the body, stronger, thicker polymer or thin plastic, and whether everything is held together firmly or if it’s barely staying together.
All these traits stand out pretty immediately and speak loudly to the quality of the item.
So, as soon as I took the rifle bipod out of the box, I was genuinely impressed as the material was top notch, the construction was solid, and although light, it still had good weight to it.
As I played with it more, I grew to like it more.
That being said, I did notice things I would change or that could use improving, but none of them were big enough issues to be any serious deal breakers, more just little tweaks.
On top of that, I was very happy with how smoothly the legs moved, the detent of the leg extension buttons, the solid lock of the folding leg buttons, and the quick and smooth action of the swivel.

HOW DOES IT HANDLE IN THE FIELD
I was quite impressed with the bipod on its first range day. The CVLIFE rifle bipod provided a solid and sturdy shooting platform.
The leg locks and the leg extensions both lock firmly in place and have next to no wiggle in them.
I was extra pleased with the 360 swivel that the rifle bipod offers, as I was able to sweep through a full array of targets that I had set up.
Even as I was shooting at the furthest left and right targets, and I was not shooting inline with the center axis of the bipod, there was no slippage from the feet, and the bipod remained perfectly stable.
All in all, the bipod put out an excellent showing, and my range guests and I were impressed with its performance.

QUALITY AND DESIGN
SWIVEL HEAD
The MLOK attachable head of the CVLIFE rifle bipod attaches with two screws on the head. The neck and main rifle attachment are made out of steel, ensuring strength and longevity.
The head can traverse a full 360 degrees while also being able to tilt 15 degrees to each side. CVLIFE features built-in tilt set notches that allow the head to click into place at 7.5 and 15 degrees.
Although not a deal breaker for the bipod, I would prefer a smooth transition and the ability to set the tilt to whatever degree I want, and not have set degrees, more like the traverse aspect.
The 360 traverse on the rifle bipod is extremely smooth and allows you to traverse at will. I was extremely pleased with the bipod’s traversing capabilities.

SWIVEL LOCKING KNOB
The swivel locking knob is made from a high-strength polymer and is sturdy, with no wobble in its movement. Its turn is smooth, and when locked, it provides a firm and tight hold.

ROTATING JOINTS
The rotating joints on the CVLIFE rifle bipod are made from high-strength stainless steel.
There are three indentations on it: two for holding the legs horizontal, inline with the barrel of the rifle, either forward or backwards, and one for locking the legs vertically.
The smaller indentations hold the legs up well enough through everyday use; however, they can come out of place if shaken too hard.
Although the locking indentations don’t appear very deep, they seat the locking lugs securely, proving a strong hold that I have yet to have the legs come free from.
When locked in place, the locking lugs are so firm that there is no wiggle in the legs at all.
However, the upper Allen key bolt can come loose, which causes the legs to come loose and create a wiggle, so you need to make sure they’re screwed in tight.

LEG RELEASE BUTTON
Buttons and switches are often indicators of poor quality and design, which is why I scrutinize them closely. Poorly made gear will have squishy buttons with a poor detent.
The leg release buttons on the CVLIFE rifle bipod are top quality. They have an easy press with a firm detent, zero squishiness and a very nice audible snap when the legs slide into position.
I was impressed from the first moment I started examining the bipod with the quality CVLIFE put into the buttons.

LEGS
The upper arm of the legs is made from high-grade aluminum, with the lower section being made from a high-strength polymer.
When the legs are extended, there is a minor wiggle in the polymer extension, but it is very minor.
As seen in the picture below, there are six locking positions, with the sixth being all the way to the top.
They provide 3 full inches of movement, extending the bipod from 7.7 inches to 10.6 inches and giving a 9.5-inch-wide sturdy base when fully extended.

FEET
CVLIFE used a rubber-textured foot that offers a decent grip on most surfaces. However, although nice and grippy, the rubber isn’t super strong, as you can see the rubber wearing away already after only a few uses on the range.

A SOLID COMPARISON
I pit the budget-friendly CVLIFE rifle bipod head-to-head against the world-renowned MDT Tactical’s most budget-friendly Oryx bipod to see how a truly budget-friendly bipod holds up to a top-of-the-line bipod.
Although there is a noticeable design difference as far as functionality, they performed pretty equally.
Both bipod leg release buttons offer an easy press and solid detent, with an audible snap into place. Both are made from high-strength polymer and steel, with the CVLIFE also having some aluminum to lighten the load.
Both have a rifle attachment that tilts, but unlike the CVLIFE, which has set positions in its tilt, the Oryx is free to be placed at whatever degree you want.
Where the CVLIFE falters in its tilt, however, it outshines the Oryx in its 360 swivel capability, as the Oryx has none.
When both have their legs extended, both have a minor wiggle in the lower extension.
The vertical locking indentation on the Oryx is noticeably deeper. Hence, it offers a firmer hold, but the legs on the Oryx can only rotate in a single direction, whereas the legs on the CVLIFE can rotate in either direction.
Both bipods have rubber feet, where the CVLIFE rifle bipods are a bit softer and offer a better grip, the Oryx’s are firmer, preventing wear and tear and increasing longevity.
In the end, both bipods had areas where they were a bit stronger than the other, but as far as features and functionality, the CVLIFE rifle bipod was on par with the MDT Tactical Oryx.
The one area where the Oryx couldn’t compare was in the price. Taxes in the Oryx comes in around $115 USD while the CVLIFE rifle bipod comes in at $54 USD.
So, if it’s purely aesthetics you want, then the Oryx is for you, but if you’re main concerns are quality and price, then the CVLIFE rifle bipod is for you.

WHAT I LIKE BEST
OVERALL DESIGN
The overall design is one of my favourite aspects of the CVLIFE rifle bipod. A slick skeletonized design makes it fit in perfectly on a skeletonized rifle hand guard.
The polymer leg extensions add a bit of sleekness, and the stainless steel provides contrast.
As a whole, it’s not the slickest bipod around, but it still has a rugged prettiness to it.

360 TRAVERSE CAPABILITY
The ability to 360-degree traverse in a budget bipod is an uncommon function to find. Not only that, but one that traverses so easily and smoothly.
Whether you’re target shooting at the range and need to swap between targets or you’re lying prone on the ground as you follow a walking Elk, the traverse capability of the CVLIFE rifle bipod makes it easy.
I was impressed with how much I liked this feature and what it brings to the shooting game.

CONCERNS AND CRITICISMS
JOINT LOCK POSITIONS
One aspect I would have liked to see was more locking positions for the legs.
It’s quite common when shooting larger calibres to have the legs angled forward at a 45-degree angle so you can put greater pressure into the stock.
The CVLIFE rifle bipod doesn’t offer that
I would also have liked to see deeper notches for the horizontal storage positions. As I mentioned earlier, the legs stay up fine under normal conditions, but with a good bump, they can come loose.
Deeper notches would take care of this, ensuring the legs stay where you want them, no matter how rough you are with it.

LACK OF INTERCHANGEABLE FEET
The only feet that come with the CVLIFE rifle bipod are the two rubber feet on the bipod.
It would have been solid if CVLIFE had included a couple of extra rubber feet, allowing you to swap them out if or when the ones on the legs wear out.
It would have also been great if they included a set of spiked feet that you could swap out the rubber feet if you needed something super grippy in loose and rough terrain.

FREE TILT
The final thing I think could have made this bipod just that much better would have been a free-tilting head. The set tilt positions aren’t bad, by any means, but personal customization is key when it comes to tactical gear.
Removing those set notches from the tilt would also make it smoother to operate the tilt while shooting.

CONCLUSION
The CVLIFE rifle bipod offers a compelling blend of affordability, functionality, and durability for shooters seeking a reliable support system without breaking the bank.
Its lightweight design, adjustable features, and sturdy construction make it a solid choice for hunters, target shooters, and tactical enthusiasts alike.
In the end, its performance and value proposition are hard to beat for budget-conscious users.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned shooter, the CVLIFE rifle bipod is a practical addition to your rifle setup, delivering dependable stability for improved accuracy in various shooting scenarios.
